The African American Outreach Initiative

The African American Outreach Initiative (AAOI) is a district-wide collaborative of faculty, staff and administrators dedicated to improving the access and success rates of African American students in the Los Angeles Community College District.  The AAOI serves as a liaison to the various colleges and focuses  on the following areas: Community Ambassadors and Outreach, Umoja Student Support, Campus and Community Partnerships, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) Transfer Awareness, and Black Graduation Celebration.​
