It shall be the policy of the District to provide healthy and safe workplaces, classrooms, and common areas, and promote safe work practices and procedures for employees and students. All District activities will be conducted in a safe and proper manner to reduce the risk of loss or injury to employees, students, and the public.

The Risk Management program is designed to assist individuals with claims involving occupational injuries and illnesses, student and student athlete injuries, visitor injuries, and damage to person or personal property.

The program's goals are to identify and eliminate potential causes of injuries, illnesses, and accidents that can lead to damage to or loss of personal property, protect personnel, students, and visitors from injury or impairment or loss, and to protect the District's assets from impairment or loss by implementing and managing insurance coverage.
