Cash Webb

After a rough start in college right after high school, Cash Webb decided to take a break from his studies. He later made the committed decision to come to Los Angeles Valley College (LAVC) and has excelled in his studies in Computer Studies. Cash is an active member of the Math Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) program at LAVC.

“Cash has worked hard to maintain an impressive GPA. He is not only committed to excelling in his own studies, but he also works hard to support the academic journey of his peers,” notes Meline Abramyan Keoseian, MESA STEM Counselor. “He has taken on many roles within the MESA program, including tutoring STEM students, helping manage the front desk of the Center, and was instrumental in setting up the MESA Skills Lab. He has also helped run our Video Game and 3D Printing Labs, providing valuable support to fellow students.”

Cash’s involvement with MESA has also connected him with the NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) program, which is providing him with a series of STEM educational experiences. Cash is working towards completing degrees in Math and Physics at LAVC, and plans to transfer to university this fall as a Computer Science major.

“Cash is a true example of perseverance, leadership, and community engagement, making him a well-deserved nominee for Exceptional Student of the Week,” said Meline.
