Overview/Benefits
Los Angeles Valley College has served the communities
of the San Fernando Valley since 1949. The college
has provided services to students in the Greater Avenues
for independence (GAIN) program since 1988 and California
Work Opportunity and Responsibility to kids (CalWORKs)
program since 1998. The intent of CalWORKs is to empower
students to obtain employment and enhance the quality
of their lives as productive members of the community.

reinforces the vocabulary learned in computer training.
