Workers' Compensation Program
The Risk Management Department is responsible for administering the District’s self-insured workers’ compensation program. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Insuring that claim forms are prepared within prescribed time frames
- Insuring coordination between the colleges, the District office and LACCD contracted third-party administrator, Southern California Risk Management, in managing the reported claims
- Insuring program funding is sufficient to meet costs of claims, and
- Informing campus of relevant policies and procedures
Services Offered by the LACCD Workers’ Compensation Program
- Ergonomic Evaluation for an individual with a disability that is the result of an occupational injury to determine the need for special equipment to accommodate work restrictions
- Ergonomic Training to assist employees to prevent further occupational injuries
- Job Function Analysis
- Return to Work
- Injury Prevention Awareness
