LOS ANGELES, CA (July 2, 2010) -- Betsy Regalado, Vice President of Student Services at West Los Angeles College, has been named Acting President of the campus by the Board of Trustees for the Los Angeles Community College District. Regalado will serve as Acting President through mid-August when an Interim President for West L.A. is expected to be announced.

The Interim President for West L.A. will likely hold the post for about a year while a formal search is conducted for a permanent president. The selection process for an Interim President is underway.

West L.A. College's former president, Dr. Mark W. Rocha, is now Superintendent / President of Pasadena City College.
