Retro Wages
|
Retro wages
are paid when an employee receives any earnings for time that was worked
before the current pay period. Note: Most
Hourly workers (including professional experts) will always receive retro
pay. It is very important for
hourly employees to understand that retro pay is usually regular pay that
was worked before the previous pay check was sent.

It is
frequently not possible to compute the hourly rate by examining retro
rages. This is because retro
overtime pay and retro regular pay are combined.
