The California Community College System offers an Open Admission Policy



Winter 2017 applications are available until December 23rd. The Winter session will begin on January 3rd. Classes are still available.

Spring 2017 applications are available online until January 31st. The Spring 2017 term begins Monday February 6th and classes ARE still available.

Students are allowed to apply in person once the online applications have been closed. We ask that you please submit your application online prior to the deadline.

 If you have applied in the last year, have applied for Winter or Spring 2017, or are a continuing student YOU DO NOT NEED TO RE-APPLY. If you last applied in Spring 2016 and have not taken any classes in Fall 2016 or Spring 2017, then please re-apply. 

WE ASK THAT YOU APPLY FOR SUMMER 2017 IF YOU PLAN TO TAKE COURSES IN FALL 2017, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE UNDECIDED ON TAKING SUMMER 2017 COURSES. THIS WILL HELP MINIMIZE ANY ISSUES YOU COULD HAVE WITH ENROLLING.

Please make sure you submit a valid email address you check often as we will send registration information to the email you provide on the application. You will need to create an account profile through OpenCCC in order to submit the online application. You will receive a OpenCCC ID number once you submit your application successfully, which will be different from the Student ID number you will receive once the Admissions office has processed your application If you need technical support to help you use the online application system, please call the Open CCC Technical Support Line at (877) 247-4836 or email Support@opencc.net

You will receive a confirmation email shortly after submitting your online application. Allow 2-3 business days for the application to process. A secondary email will be sent with your student ID number as well as important registration information. If you do not receive the emails in your inbox please check your spam/junk mail folder.  If you have not received your student ID number in 10 working days, please submit a request for assistance at the following website:

 WHO SHOULD APPLY

NEW STUDENTS: Anyone who has never attended Los Angeles Harbor College.

RETURNING STUDENTS: Anyone who has NOT attended the most recent Fall and Spring Semesters.

WHO SHOULD NOT APPLY


CONTINUING STUDENTS: Students who attended either the previous Fall or Spring semester at any of the LACCD campuses DO NOT need to reapply.  Continuing students can view their district-wide registration date that can be used at any of the nine campuses to enroll for classes. Please go to www.lahc.edu and click on Register for Classes to log in to the Student Information System with your student ID number and PIN. Select the View Registration Appointment to view your registration date.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: Please contact the International Student office at (310) 233-4111 for specific Admission requirements or visit their webpage at http://www.lahc.edu/studyinlosangeles/index.html


HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS 

 

High school students who are currently enrolled in High School students over the age of 13 may apply online. Students who are currently enrolled in high school may apply online. Additionally, you are required to submit a Special Student Attendance Approval Form to the Admissions & Records Office by mail or in person BEFORE you will be allowed to register for classes. The Special Student Attendance Approval Form must be signed by you, your high school counselor, and your parent or guardian. We require the original documents and signatures; faxed forms and copies are NOT acceptable. A new Special Student Attendance Approval Form is required every semester for all concurrent students. High school students are limited to 11 units per semester (7 units in Summer Session). Download the form online at :

CONTINUING STUDENTS

Any student who attended SPRING/SUMMER 2016 or is attending the current semester does not need to reapply. You should or will be issued a registration appointment date. Please go to www.lahc.edu and click on Register for Classes to log in to the Student Information System with your student ID number and PIN. Select the View Registration Appointment to view your registration date.
