START by logging into the LACCD Student Information System, available here. You should see a screen that looks like this...



 Once you log in, you should see the following information (below). click on the Online Forms button to access the Financial Aid Verification Process page.



Once you have clicked the Online Forms button, you should see a webpage that looks like the one below. FIRST: Select the link for the 2012-2013 Dependent Student Verification form (arrow pointing to the right). Print this form, as you will need to submit it to your college's Financial Aid Office AFTER completing the online portion of the Financial Aid Verification Process. The, select the link to the Financial Aid Verification Process (arrow pointing to the left) to get to the next webpage.



You should now see a LONG webpage, which we've divided up into smaller pieces for this tutorial. At the top, you should see the following information:


As you continue to read down the webpage, the first section where you can enter information online will be the Student's Income From Work section (as noted below). if YOU (the student) DID NOT FILE and WILL NOT FILE a 2011 Federal income tax return, complete the section below (arrow pointing to the right). Otherwise, follow the directions onilne on how to verify your and your parents' income information.



 As you continue to read down the webpage, the next sections you will see are regarding Food Stamps and Child Support Paid. To verify this information, you will need to complete the appropriate sections on the paper 2012-2013 Dependent Student Verification form. The last step on this webpage is to select the Submit button.



Once you click the Submit button above, you should see a long webpage again, this time including ALL of the information you entered (if you entered any information) on the previous screen. To make your final submission, go to the BOTTOM of the webpage (shown below) and select the Submit button.



That's all you will need to do for the online form. Your information will be sent electronically to your college's Financial Aid Office. DON'T FORGET TO COMPLETE the paper 2012-2013 Dependent Verification form and submit it to your college's Financial Aid Office. Also, if required, submit copies of your and your parents' 2011 Federal Tax Return Transcripts.
