HOW TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES
Before you can register for classes, you must have applied to your college of choice and received a registration appointment. If you haven't done so already, you can apply for admission here.
Once you have applied for admission, the college will contact you and give you the details about what to do next.
Just to give you a general idea, the next steps include making appointments for some or all of the following:
- Orientation – Learn about academic programs and how to transfer or earn a degree or certificate. You’ll also learn about support services like financial aid, tutoring, counseling and health services.
- Assessment – We'll assess your math and English skills to help you find the most appropriate classes.
- Counseling and Advisement – A counselor will work with you to develop an educational plan that will be the most direct route to your goals.
Next you will receive a registration appointment. This is the earliest time that you can register for classes. You can register any time AFTER your registration appointment. However, we strongly encourage you to register for classes as soon as possible because classes do fill up.
Before you begin the registration process, it is best if you get a college catalog and a class schedule and decide what classes you want to take. You should make note of the sections that work best for you. It's always a good idea to have alternate sections in mind just in case your first choices are no longer available.
When you're ready to register for classes, you have three choices. Remember, you should know the section number of the classes you want to add before you begin the registration process.
