C. COLLEGE SERVICE AREA EDUCATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS

This Report section presents the characteristics of the subject College Service Area. This Section includes an Exhibit showing attendance by all community college students by College Service Area Zip Codes for the Fall quarter 2004. Capture rates are also shown which consists of the number and percentage of the total community college enrollment captured by the subject LACCD College. Also, included are thematic color maps showing enrollment density by Zip Code. Educational attainment for the College Service Area population is also included. In addition, is a detailed delineation of students by ethnicity/race and age-ranges for all community college students has been provided.

The data is compiled from the State Chancellor’s Office, MIS Department and by Claritas, Inc.
