K. SELECTED OCCUPATION AND REGION
COMPARISON FORECAST – 2005-2010
This Report section provides a forecast
by occupations for 2005 to 2010 for Los Angeles County, Orange
County, the State, and Nation. The occupations data is provided
by 4-digit Standard Occupations Classification (SOC) code
designations for all industry sectors. The net growth or
decline (from both new and replacement jobs) and related
percentage change in these occupations are also shown. In
addition, the average annual wages and required education
and training for the selected occupation are also provided.
Selected forecasts are also presented for occupations requiring
an AA degree and those requiring less than an AA degree.
This data provides the College with
valuable information with which to better respond to trends
and need of the labor market. The data can help with more
rapid market based responsiveness to growth or decline in
industry sectors. It will also help with more targeted and
relevant curriculum planning.
