These educational establishments include public and private colleges, vocational establishments, computer schools, fine arts, language schools, etc. The data includes name of educational establishment, 6-digit NAICS industry description and code, location by Zip Code, estimated number employees, gross sales, and date established in Yellow Pages. The date established in the Yellow Pages phone directories provides a solid indicator of the length of time the subject establishment has been in business. Such market data is useful in assessing the level of private sector activity and possible competition within the educational industry. It also provides a measure of the potential for offering similar fee-based courses. In addition, strategic partnerships may be formed with the educational establishments for such purposes as the sharing or leasing of its facilities or instructors with other educational institutions for mutually beneficial purposes.
